In the late 1980s and early 1990s, many people including government officials reported about a huge triangular-shaped unknown craft, cruising above them silently. In Belgium and the United Kingdom, those crafts were seen by the masses. The UK authority called them secret spy planes sent by the United States during the cold war. Since then, the mysterious “Black Triangle” UFOs have been seen around the world.
Dr. Michael Salla, known for his best-selling books on secret-space programs discussed the US Air Force top-secret program “Aurora” in his book “US Air Force Secret Space Program – Shifting Extraterrestrial Alliances & Space Force.” According to him, Edgar Fouche, who served in the USAF and Department Of Defence confirmed that during the 1970s, the Air Force with the help of private aerospace companies built a tactical reconnaissance craft, known as TR-3B or Astra in the 1980s. Fouche called it the most exotic and classified aerospace vehicle that could fly to the edge of space (Kármán line).
Black Triangle would be called a hoax or natural aerial phenomenon if Belgian Army Colonel André Amond did not see it himself along with his wife. He claimed to have seen silently floating lights above his car in December 1989. The same description was given by other police officers, and one of them said it was “like lights on a huge football field.”
They suspected that they were US military experimental aircrafts, but the US Embassy in Brussels denied it. As it was connected to national security, the Belgian Air Force, aviation authorities, and police conducted an investigation and sent F-16 aircraft to catch one of the unidentified intruders. The pilots intercepted the craft into their radar, but it showed an unusual behavior such as “jumping huge distances in seconds and accelerating beyond human capacity,” according to General Wilfried De Brouwer, retired Major General of the Belgian Air Force. According to a 1999 report by The Independent, the Astra (Advanced Stealth Reconnaissance Aircraft), or AV-6, or Aurora, crashed during takeoff on runway 23 at Boscombe Down on the evening of 26 September 1994. The London Air Traffic Control Centre was alerted that a serious incident had occurred. Later that night, witnesses reported seeing a tarpaulin screen around the front of the aircraft surrounded by a number of emergency vehicles. The following day, an Agusta 109 helicopter, one of four captured Argentine helicopters used exclusively by the special forces, arrived. Witnesses also saw and photographed men in plain clothes arriving during the night, who were later identified as SAS.
The wreckage was kept under a tarpaulin in the corner of a hangar but was seen by witnesses when the doors were opened to bring out a Buccaneer aircraft. The next unusual event was the arrival of a giant C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft, which is believed to have flown the wreckage back to the US on 28 September.
Reports of the new aircraft had been around for five years, with US radio hams intercepting a transmission from an aircraft descending from 65,000 feet in April 1992, a height only reached by the Space Shuttle and the Cold War spyplane the U2 (later renamed TR1). In August 1992, unexplained sonic booms were measured over the Netherlands, prompting questions in the Dutch parliament. The path of the aircraft suggested it had flown from RAF Machrihanish on the northwest coast of Scotland.
In December of that year, The Independent reported claims by the crew of a boat in the North Sea that they had seen an Aurora and produced an artist’s impression similar to the latest impression in Air Forces Monthly. On other occasions, radio hams intercepted transmissions from unidentified high-flying jets requesting permission to land at Machrihanish, though that airfield has now closed.

On August 8, 1998, Edgar Fouche spoke at UFO Congress explaining some of the US military’s top-secret programs including the Aurora Program. He received this information from his friends who worked for the CIA, USAF, and DoD. One of his friends told Fouche about the landing of a pitch-black triangular-shaped TR-3B craft codenamed Astra at the Groom Lake facility (Area 51) where he worked. He recalled seeing this massive craft that stretched across 600 feet. (Source)
According to Fouche, at least three such crafts were flying in 1994, and the budget was more than three billion dollars. This program was funded by the CIA, NSA, and the National Reconnaissance Office. He said that The TR-3B flying triangle was developed using reverse-engineered Magnetic Field Disrupter (MFD) technology.
“With the vehicle mass reduced by 89%, the craft can travel at Mach 9, vertically or horizontally. My sources say the performance is limited only to the stresses that human pilots can endure. Which is a lot, really, considering along with the 89% reduction in mass, the G forces are also reduced by 89%,” he explained.
Military writes, “It doesn’t exist officially. It uses highly pressured mercury accelerated by nuclear energy to produce a plasma that creates a field of anti-gravity around the ship. Conventional thrusters located at the tips of the craft allow it to perform all manner of rapid high-speed maneuvers along all three axes. Interestingly, the plasma generated also reduces radar signature significantly. So it’ll be almost invisible on the radar & remain undetected. This literally means that it can go to any country it likes without being detected by air traffic control & air defense systems.”
How did the US possess such advanced technology in the 1980s?
Fouche’s friend Dale sent him the documents of Majestic-12, obtained by his father who had been working for the NSA for 20 years. The MJ-12 committee was supported by the United States Department of Energy and NSA as their job was to recover the wreckage from UFO crashes. So, all the knowledge about exotic materials, advanced aviation, and propulsion engines came from reverse engineering of recovered alien artifacts by MJ-12. The information about the MJ-12 can also be found in the FBI archives with a memo titled “Operation Majestic-12,” but the USAF called the document fake.
If the Black Triangle sightings had happened only in the United States, it would have been easier for the government to hide the truth, but sightings from Belgium and Scotland show some authenticity to the matter.
